Dimitrov keeps dropping off, thanks to first rounders with Stanimal

In 2017, Grigor Dimitrov won the Western and Southern Open in Cincinnati and the ATP finals, and he finished the year at number three in the world.

But he’s dropping fast due to a shoulder injury and also Stan Wawrinka, who beat him in the first round at Wimbledon and the US Open in 2018, then third round at Roland Garros, then first round at Montreal and also Cincy.

Grigor is perhaps the best #74 ranked player in history.

With some luck, he’ll likely rise again soon, unless another unlucky draw gives him yet another first round match with Wawrinka.
