Hsieh Su-Wei carves into Wimbledon 3rd round

Hsieh Su-wei, ranked number 29 at age 33, is becoming a player nobody wants to play, especially on grass.

In the first two rounds of Wimbledon, she used slice from both sides, and her unorthodox double-handed forehand drop shots, to frustrate and confuse former French Open champion Jelena Ostapenko and Kirsten Flipkens to reach the Wimbledon third round.

“I just play my game. I’m not worried about if I win or lose,” she said in an exclusive interview at Wimbledon. “I’m still trying to get my team worked out. My team is changing a lot. I’m not traveling with regular people. I don’t put any pressure. I just come and enjoy. If I do good, I’m happy. If I don’t do good, I try to find another way to improve myself.”
