Milos beats Denis at “Battle of Canada” in Ohio

After losing in Madrid, this time Milos Raonic won the “Battle of Canada” on a rainy, windy Thursday in Mason, Ohio.

Milos was more solid, and his experienced helped him deal better with conditions (wind, rain delays, rapid change of light). He’s a threat to win any event, if healthy.

Though it was a tough loss for Denis Shapovalov, he won many fans in the Cincinnati area, and he was upbeat in the presser despite the loss. The match could have gone the other way if Denis had won a few key points, especially late in the first set.

Will they meet again in New York at the US Open?
